中美之间有着怎样的友谊故事？如何让中美两国人民友谊代代相传？本期《习近平讲述的故事》为您娓娓道来。
1985年4月，时任河北正定县委书记习近平来到美国艾奥瓦州考察农业和畜牧业，受到当地人热情接待。一次春天的到访，就此播下了友谊的种子。
2012年，时任国家副主席习近平重访艾奥瓦州，用“衣莫若新，人莫若故”这句话道出对当地老朋友的深厚感情。
对于老朋友，习近平一直惦念着。2015年4月，已成为中国国家主席的习近平在北京会见德沃切克夫妇一行，再次忆起1985年在马斯卡廷的情景。同年，习近平主席在艾奥瓦州马斯卡廷当年住过的房屋，被命名为“中美友谊屋”。
2023年11月，在见证了中美两国人民百年交往历史的旧金山，美国友好团体联合举行欢迎宴会，热情欢迎中国国家主席习近平。宴会开始前，习近平主席同美国的老朋友们再度会面。
中美虽相距遥远，但两国人民友好交往源远流长。未来，双方应赓续中美友谊，推进中美关系，努力为促进世界和平和发展作出更大贡献！
